This giveaway has ended. The winner is Julie S.!
It's been too long since I've done a giveaway. So I'm going to remedy that today with a giveaway of The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch!
In the aftermath of a World War III, America’s landscape has been ravaged and left two thirds of the population dead. Fifteen-year-old Stephen Quinn and his family were among the few that survived, roaming the country as isolated scavengers.
But when Stephen’s grandfather dies, Stephen must take charge of what family remains. Soon he finds his way to Settler’s Landing, a community that seems too good to be true. There Stephen meets strong, defiant, Jenny Tan, who refuses to accept things as they are. When they play a prank that goes horribly wrong, chaos erupts, and they find themselves in the midst of a battle that will change Settler’s Landing forever.
I read the book last week, and rather than go into detail on its awesomeness, I'll let Suzanne Collins do it for me: “With its crumbling Starbucks and rusting theme parks, The Eleventh Plague hits disturbingly close to home, vividly depicting a world that has nose-dived into a futuristic nightmare. Fifteen-year-old Stephen Quinn struggles to define his rules of survival in Jeff Hirsch’s excellent, taut debut novel.” Suzanne Collins, Author of the Hunger Games Trilogy
To enter just comment here or on my Facebook page by 9/18/11. I'll announce the winner on Monday, 9/19/11. US only. I’ll also toss in a signed Clarity bookmark. (Which reminds me that I only have, like, four of those left so I should get going on making new Perception/Clarity bookmarks sometime soon!)
In the meantime, you can read the first four chapters of The Eleventh Plague on Jeff's site!
