PERCEPTION Cover & Synopsis Reveal

This wasn’t supposed to happen for a couple more months (with a contest and a lot more hoopla) but I woke up this morning to find the cover is out there early on B&N, Goodreads, and other places. And you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube, so after a flurry of emails I have the okay to reveal the pretty today!

Here is the beautiful cover for Clarity’s sequel, Perception!

I thought it would be hard for the wonderful folks at Scholastic to come up with a cover as beautiful as Clarity’s, but I think they actually surpassed it.

I adore Clare’s hair in this photo. And the way the model is looking over her shoulder with the woods in the background gives that sense of danger. (Tease: this is actually a scene in the book.) And birds! This cover has forest birds instead of seagulls. And it still has those magical lights around Clare’s hair. I could go on and on. I love, love, love it.

Everybody knows about Clarity "Clare" Fern. She's the psychic girl in school, the one who can place her hands on something and see hidden visions from the past.

Only Clare would rather not be a celebrity. She prefers hanging back, observing. Her gift is not a game to her.

But then someone starts playing with her head . . . and heart. Messages and gifts from a secret admirer crop up everywhere Clare turns. Could they be from Gabriel, the gorgeous boy who gets Clare's pulse racing? Or from Justin, Clare's hopeful ex-boyfriend who'd do anything to win her back?

One thing is certain. Clare needs to solve this mystery, and soon. Because the messages are becoming sinister, and a girl in town has suddenly disappeared.
